Any Memorial for December 15?

As mentioned in another post, today (Dec 15) is the day Walt Disney died. I was there last year on 12-15, but I was at AK. I was wondering if they fly the flags at MK and Epcot at half mast on that day. Just wondering if anyone has seen this.

I have never seen it.

Last December, after Roy Disney (Walt's nephew) passed away, all of the Disney company flags on WDW property were flown at half staff for a few weeks in his honor. The USA flags and FL (state) flags were all flown at full staff per normal protocol.

I think this is the only time I have heard or seen WDW fly their company flags at half staff. But then again, they certainly weren't making a big deal out of this activity (it was a quiet tribute), so it is quite possible it has happen before and just didn't get much or any press.

I do not recall this on either of our past December trips, but it would have been cool:thumbsup:
