Today is a day that all Disney fans should remember. December 15, 1966, 43 years ago today is the day that we lost the man who started it all, Walt Elias Disney. A man who left us with a world of fantasy and dreams. RIP Walt. :(:(:mickey:

I was at DHS on this day last year, specifically to visit One Man's Dream. I asked the CM's working there if they knew what was special about this particular day. None of them had a clue.

Very sad....:(

Does WDW or DL do anything special on December 15 to honor the day? Like lower the flag or dim the lights? If not, that is pretty sad that they do not honor the man who started it all in such a way. You would think Disney executives would make it a point to have all CM's know about this day. More impotantly, I think would be to lower the flag and dim the lights:(:mickey:

The saddest of all "today in Disney history" days.
