New Phone the "Droid" for verizon

I read the other post about the Iphone and I figured I would make a new post. My husband's friend got a Iphone and now he wants one. He already has an Itouch that I got him last year. But I have verizon, I hated At & T. So I am considering the new droid. Anyone have one yet? He is trying to find a place that lists the apps online and cant seem to find anywhere where they list them. Anyone have any luck or opinions on this phone? is it really a compatable phone?

I just did a search on Google and found alot of information about the Droid and downloads. I would check there or contact your local Verizon store.
