Dec. 3, 2001 – It was reported that the Walt Disney Internet Group would make popular Disney characters and songs available on AT&T Wireless phones for the 1st time in the U.S. (Disney branded ring tones and graphics were first offered in Japan in August 2000.)
Dec. 3, 2002 – Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” was released and video and DVD.
Dec. 3, 2002 – The three 2-disc sets of “Walt Disney Treasures: Wave 2” (titled Mickey Mouse in Black and White, The Complete Goofy, and Behind the Scenes at The Walt Disney Studio) were released.
Dec. 3, 2002 – Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader “George J. Mitchell” became the presiding director of The Walt Disney Co. He would be elected chairman on Mar. 3, 2004.
Dec. 3, 2002 – Robert W. Matshullat became a member on the Disney board of directors.
Dec. 3, 2003 – It was announced that the Walt Disney Studios have made industry history by becoming the 1st company to surpass $3 billion un global box office receipts in a single year.
Dec. 3, 2003 – Roy. E. Disney was interviwed on CNN’s Paula Zahn News show. He spoke out on what he said is the downfall of his uncle’s entertainment empire and his battle against Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
Dec. 3, 2004 – Taping began in Florida for the 21st annual “2004 Walt Disney World Christmas Parade.” (aired Dec. 25)
Dec. 3, 2005 – Disneyland’s first Candlelight Processional of the season took place with narrator and Disney Legend Dick Van Dyke.
