a friend of mine from the DC area told me today that Disney was planning on opening a park in the DC area in the near future. Is this true? I know in the 90's an effort was made to open a park called 'Disney's America' in north virgninia, but got shut down.

Its definatley interesting, but is it true?

Disney has plans to build a 500 room resort at the National Harbor development, located 10 miles south of the Capitol building on the Potomac River.. They bought a bit of land there earlier this year.

There was some thought that some of the rooms might be DVC but nothing's been announced for the project so far.
