we have an 1997 ford expedition that we use to drive down to the world. it has 103,000 miles and some change. my question is does anybody know what are the best shocks to buy for the ride and handling.i went to my ford dealer , but they could not tell me what brand of shocks the truck came stock with.when we bought it , it rode like a cadillac , that was one of reasons i bought it. it does not ride anything like it did when new. i am just looking for the best ride and the best handling before our upcoming may disney trip. thanks for any help.

I had a 98 Expedition (which made many trips to Disney!), and it had the air bag type shocks. Check and see if that is the case before anything else. Good luck:thumbsup:

If you go to an "Auto Parts" (Midwest) or Pep Boys, they should be able to tell you what the stock shocks were. A "chilton's" book may also have the information you need. This book s/b at any library.
