Nov. 25, 2000 – The New York Post that the Disney Co. would stop licensing cell phone covers featuring Disney characters due to the lack of information about health risks related to cell phone use especially among young children.
Nov. 25, 2002 – The Disneyland Resort officially kicked off its holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring the manager of the World Champion Anaheim Angels Mike Scioscia.
Nov. 25, 2003 – Walt Disney Records released the soundtrack on CD of “The Haunted Mansion Haunted Hits.”
Nov. 25, 2003 – Disneyland’s annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony took place in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Nov. 25, 2004 – Disney’s Chicken Little (the star of the animated fil to be released in 2005) debuted at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in N.Y.C. The giant helium balloon measured 60.5 feet tall, 26 feet wide, and 68.5 feet long.
Nov. 25, 2005 – Epcot’s Holidays Around the World 2005 began for the season. The season’s first Candlelight Processional took place with guest narrator actress Rita Moreno. (Ran through Dec. 30, 2005)
Nov. 25, 2005 – The “Festival of the Seasons” began for this holiday season at Downtown Disney in WDW. (Ran through Dec. 25, 2005)
Nov. 25, 2005 – Disney Channel debuted “Save the Last Dance,” the 7th episode of “That’s So Raven.”
Nov. 25, 2006 – Italian cartoonist Luciano Bottaro, the highly prolific creator of numerous original series as well as a significant body of work with Disney comics, passed away in Italy days after celebrating his 75th birthday. Besides his work with Disney characters, he created many characters such as Pepito, the comical adventures of a 17th century buccaneer.
Nov. 25, 2007 – Mickey and Minnie Mouse took part in the “Hollywood Santa Parade” in California.
