Has anyone taken a Friendship boat from the Beach Club, etc to Epcot through the international gateway?

We are looking at doing this next trip and really needed some details. Is there a "gate" you go through where they scan your tickets, etc?

Any info would be great. Thanks!

Yes, the International Gateway has the same set-up as the main gate. Security is there to check your bags and then you insert your passes and head through the turnstile.

What kind of details do you want? You don't need a ticket to take the boat. Just (obviously) to get back into Epcot or DHS. The route is; Epcot - Boardwalk - Yacht Club - Dolphin/Swan - DHS, then reverse on the way back. It takes about 30 minutes or more one way (from one park to the other.) You can walk it in about 20 minutes or so.

Ditto - it's quicker to walk it! :mickey:

To get from BC to EPCOT's International Gateway it's a 5 minute walk. It will take much longer to get there via a Friendship boat as the boat goes to the Boardwalk first.

The boat terminates at the International Gateway. It does not proceed into World Showcase Lagoon. You must disembark and proceed on foot through security and the turnstiles as you would at the main entrance.

If you go through the International Gateway during the times when World Showcase is closed then you are directed to turn left to go through Canada towards Future World.

When we stayed at the BC it took us 20 minutes to walk from our room to Soarin'.

The boats do a circular route of:
International Gateway --> Boardwalk --> YC/BC --> Swan/Dolphin --> DS --> Swan/Dolphin --> YC/BC --> Boardwalk --> International Gateway

Just so you have some perspective, the dock that leaves the YC/BC resort is at the Yacht Club. If you're staying at the BC, it makes no sense to take the boat to Epcot. It's just as close to walk from the BC to Epcot, as it would be to walk from the BC to the dock.

Going into Epcot through the International Gateway is usually a lot quicker than going in through the Main Entrance too. Notice that I said "usually".
