Where do the parades start? Main street or Frontierland? I'm trying to figure out if we can make it to Spectromagic with a Chef Mickeys dinner ressie. If the parade ends on Main St., we can make it. But, if it begins there, we can't. Thanks.

The daytime parade starts in Frontierland, but Spectromagic starts on Main Street. You can always show up early for your ressie and maybe you will get out early enough to make it.

Daytime (3:00 pm) parade and Spectro both start on Main St. @ the Firehouse. Christmas Party parades start at Frontierland. The daytime parade very, very rarely (maybe once or twice in the last 3 or 4 months) starts in Frontierland.

As the previous poster said both Celebrate A Dream Come True and Spectro start in Town Square. The parades that are during parties such as Christmas parade and Halloween parade start in Frontierland.

If it is raining or has been raining odds are the CADCT will start in Frontierland. Spectro however always starts in Town Square.

Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party always starts and ends in Town Square.

When we were there last April the Dream Come True parade started in Frontierland. They must have changed it then.

Yep, we've seen the daytime parades start in Frontierland too. Must have changed 'em, something to keep in mind for our next trip.

It's actually not all that complicated about where they start. Daytime parade starts at the Firehouse gate. It takes a predetermined amount of time to move the floats (housed behind Splash Mountain) and the cast from the "barns" and cast costuming to the backstage area of the Firehouse.

If there is inclement weather, mechanical issues or the like, Entertainment holds the option to either delay the start in order to move them into their normally correct starting location or to be able to start "on time", as it were, by beginning at Splash.

It is strictly the call of Entertainment and is usually made up approximately 15 minutes or so prior to parade start time.

Nothing more complicated than that.
