Travel day was uneventful, went to work till about 10:30 then went home grabbed the kids and headed off to Philly. First stop at Smart Park. I highly recommend this parking facility to anyone traveling out of Philadelphia airport very friendly and prompt. We parked our car and the shuttle (who was driving around behind us waiting for us to park) took us to the airport. We got there a couple hours earlier than we needed to be (our flight was not till 6:20) but I was concerned about work/construction traffic so I would rather get there too early than be running late. So we held up in the restaurant/bar and had a late lunch and watched some highlights of the World Series. I did the 24-hour check in for Southwest the night before so we had the last of the “a” boarding numbers and my dd and her bf had the 1st of the “b” boarding numbers. I usually get a much earlier “a” boarding number but I figure with the new “early boarding” option it was not too bad. We all sat across from each other. I can tell that if you don’t check in online 24hrs before you would not sit together if the flights were full. I did find out something though for the flight home some people may know this already but I did not. When checking in for our return flight we were not going to be near the front of any park or near a computer. You can call Southwest on the phone and tell them you don’t have access to a computer and they will check you in then you can print your boarding passes in the airport when checking in your luggage. I did this when we were in the Lights Motor Action stunt show in DHS! That worked out well and we all got “A” boarding assignments. I may pay the early boarding option if it was just dh and myself and I got a good price for my flight but for 5 people it didn’t feel it necessary.
Anyhoo….. We arrive at MCO early (as usual with southwest we always get there early) and grab our ME to SSR. We arrive and get our room assignment in our requested building the Grandstand. We head over and drop our bags in the room. My DH and I stayed here for our split stay in May in a 1br so we knew what to expect in our room but this time we booked a dedicated 2br so it had the door open to the bedroom next door so the kids had their own space and their own bathroom!! Nice. We dropped our bags and went to Artist Point to grab a snack and some milk for the room for coffee in the am. Had planned to go to downtown to grab food but we were too tired so ate snacks and went to bed. Up tomorrow, Tonga toast:thumbsup: and Epcot!:marg:

Great start to your vacation, Dana. It always helps when you land earlier than anticipated.

Somehow I missed your arrival day post, so I'm back-tracking! :mickey:
