Ok, so we are going dec. 11-18th my question is this;
two things i really wanted to see was the ice lighting of the castle and the snow on main street. Do we need to have mickey vmcp tickets to see these two things or do they happen every night?

I'm pretty sure the Castle is a nightly thing. The snow on Main Street might be MVMCP exclusive though.

If you want the snow experience without the extra cost, I'm pretty sure the Osbourne Lights have snow.

DisneyFanatic is correct on both counts. Have a great trip.

Yes, the Osborne lights have snow. Really cool! I think the snow in MK is only during the MVMCP.

Castle lights are a nightly thing. They are absolutely beautiful!

Snow on Main Street is MVMCP thing to my knowledge. This is the only time we have ever seen it. The iced lighting of castle is nightly. It is so pretty. We were there 2 years ago on the very first night they lit it - it was an incrdible sight!!:cloud9: Enjoy!!!!!!!

As noted, you can still experience the "snow" during the Osborne lights at Disney Studios. At the Magic Kingdom, however, snow only "flies" during the party!

And both the ice on the castle and the Osbourne lights are absolutely worth seeing.

The 'ice' castle lighting is a nightly thing. They have a little stage show at every lighting featuring Cinderella and the Fairy God Mother. Very cute! And the lighting is amazing.

Yes, the Osborne Lights in MGM have snow, but to get snow on Main Street, you have to go to MVMCP.

It's like a foam or soap, tiny little bubbles...I think.
