Ok, how about the week BEFORE Christmas?

I know that the time between Christmas and New Year's is rather...well...nuts... :crazy:, but what about the week leading up to Christmas. You know, like the 18th through the 24th? How would that compare to, say June and July crowds? The wife and I are kind of planning on this time in 2010...

The last two years we have gone the week before Christmas, and loved it. We would arrive around the 17th and leave the 23rd or so. When we first arrive, the crowds are not large at all, and check in was a breeze. After the thrid day, we could see the crowds grow, as were the check in lines. The day we left, it was really starting to get crowded, so I would not want to be there any later. All in all, we found this a really nice time to go. Good luck:thumbsup:

we were there last year from December 5-12...not bad at all...this year we pushed it back a week. we'll be there from the 12 to 21...i have heard that we should expect the crowds to hit 18th, that's a friday and people will be out of school, and starting vacations...

ibrowse17 nailed it, at least with our experience as well. We were there the week before Christmas in '05, leaving the 23rd also. Pretty easy going the first part and we could see the crowds build slowly throughout the week. On departure day, it was pretty crowded and the CM's we talked to said it was just beginning, that it was going to get much worse.

If you can handle June crowds, you should have no problem with this week. Heck, might even be a pleasant surprise for you!

Yup..... Totally agree with the others here... We went during this time in 2007 (14th - 22nd) and it was somewhat busy but not bad at all.. the longest wait time we saw was about 40 minutes. We are planning on going next year (Dec 10th - 20th) for my niece' 21st birthday.... Can't wait!!!!:thumbsup:

we went dec. 17 - 25th and it was not bad a all. the 24th was crazy wall to wall ppl at the mk. Up until then very nice. We stayed at POR, buses were good, lines were good, It was one of the best times we have gone. We usually go June - Aug. due to school. So I know what busy can be.

I've been during this time and the crowds were light but it starts picking up on the 23rd.
