Would a 6 year old girl find the jungle cruise scary at all?

My daughters first rode it at 7 and 5, and my grand daughters rode it at about the same age for the first time. None were particularly scared. Several of them were more scared on Snow White and HM than on Jungle Cruise.
There is a dark stretch, but it is well into the ride. There are some snakes and spiders during that part of the ride.

I agree, there are a couple of spots that might be a little extreme but as long as you explain that it's all pretend they should be fine.
There is also a spot that the elephants "might" spray you with water.

My 2 and 3 year old loved it! As the other posters stated it has one dark spot at the end and large insects, but nothing to be afraid of. We just kept them looking around and they did great!

During the day though, not scary at all.

My son has rode it every year since he has been 2! He loves it! Nothing scary, but the little cave, but they go fast and its pretty cool! They should be fine!

You never know what will spook some kids.

My daughter tells the story that when she was skipper at DL she was describing all of the Wild African Killer Ducks floating along the river....almost right on cue, a couple of ducks flew into the boat. She starts exclaiming "They're attacking, every man for himself"...and apparently a couple of young girls about the age you mention start to freak out. Finally one of the dads picks up the ducks and sets 'em back in the river.:D

But as long as they are old enough to understand make believe, they should be fine.

As long as they don't have a fear of really bad, corny jokes I think they will be fine...:D

My daughter was 2 when we went and she wanted to ride it over and over and over.

But then again she has no fear of anything (except using the potty at night).

I doubt it will scare her, but I am sure she wont get the humor.

I had never even considered that any kids would be afraid of it. My own 2 daughters and my niece and nephew have all ridden it around those ages and weren't scared. It has a few sections that I guess could be a little scary but my kids love it (and the corny jokes).

not really, except there is a dark cave that the boat goes through-some tigers and snakes with glowing eyes are in there, if that's scary!

I would say no, but each child is different

In 18 days we will be there with our 2.5 year old and we will be taking him on this. You never know what will scare them but I also feel kids feed off of our own worries...in other words if you look nervouse/afraid your child will take your cue and also be afraid.

Talk it up as a silly ride. (which it is.) They'll be fine!

I never thought it to be scary, but each person is different I guess. Providing you're aware of any phobias of snakes and creepy crawlies, you should be able to distract them on those sections with something else in the surroundings.

I was 7 when I went for my very first time. 1973. I enjoyed a lot. I wasn't scared not even with Haunted Mansion. But my brother was, he was 11 but he had a bad memory of the Snow White movie (he was shocked with the ugly witch) so most of the ride he was with his cap hiding his eyes :mickey:

We rode it last June with my 5 year old niece and she LOVED it! It is now one of her favorite rides. There was another little girl about her age on the ride with us and they laughed at all of the corny jokes like they were the funniest jokes they've ever heard.

I can't wait to ride it again with her in 2 weeks!!!
