We had decided that we would eat at the Rainforest Café so headed over there to see how long the wait was to get a seat. Since the wait wasn’t very long we made reservation for 6:00 pm and went to search out http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040319web.jpg Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040379web.jpg as we had reservations for brunch there the following day. We enjoyed a brief look around the hotel and DH really liked it, stating that he would have preferred this hotel over the Grand Californian. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040322web.jpg

http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040360web.jpg To me I preferred the location of the Grand Californian. Had we had more time, I would have liked to have had a look at the pool areas also, but we had to head back for our dinner reservations. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040380web.jpg
Back at the Rainforest Café we were seated right away http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040401web.jpg and ordered drinks and then dinner. DS had Maya’s Combo,http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040409web.jpg which he has just about every time we are at a Rainforest Café, DH had some seafood dish http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040408web.jpg and I ordered the Tuscan Chicken minus the honey Dijon mustard sauce http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040410web.jpg. We have eaten at many different Rainforest Cafes and I have to say this was the best meal we have ever had. It was perfect. Drinks were perfect, food was perfect, dessert was beyond perfect http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040411web.jpg and our waiter was fabulous. Probably the best meal we had our whole 19 days on vacation.

After dinner we wandered around Downtown Disney taking in some of the entertainment http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040415web.jpg
and browsing the shops. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac250/Newbie1534/P1040419web.jpg

We hadn’t really done any shopping yet, but we were certainly creating a mental of list of items to buy. As I had a discount coupon we were planning on doing the majority of our shopping all at once.

We headed back to our hotel and decided to do some laundry. What a better way to spend a Saturday night in Disneyland than doing laundry? This really was a lazy day, but we needed it as we had been going non stop for 2 weeks and that would continue.

Thanks for the awesome reports! You are really getting me excited for my trip!

I love all the pictures too...being a WDW vet, I must admit to having a bit of anxiety about DL, so it's nice to have some visuals to help!

Can't wait to read more!

Thanks for the report. Being a local Disneylander it is fun to see how guests view the resort. Great food pictures, makes me want to eat there.

This is an enjoyable trip report and the photography is wonderful. Thank you the time you have taken to put this togeter. I appreciated that you wrote about the best in what you experienced. I loved the delicate touches with the pictures of the birds and flowers.

I also learned from your report that to many outside of the SoCal area that the evening weather drop and the cold beach water temperature can be unexpected. Sorry that you had to take a couple of hours away to get some warmer clothes. Visitors to SoCal please keep this advice in mind.:)
