I am a rare fan of this attraction. Does anyone know if this is open right now?

Am I missing something? What attraction are we talking about?

I like it too. It seems like it's only open during summer. The last time I saw it was the beginning of Sept. 2007. It's cute.:mickey:

I know in the past when it was closed, you could still go in the exit and ldo the Soundsations booths. Is the door open to at least do that?

We are talking about Sounds Dangerous in DHS, currently closed. Hopefully not for good.

i miss the older incarnations of the show. i liked it when the audience was able to participate and design the sound for a short movie. i hope they would bring something like that back.

It was closed when we were there in August. I was disappointed.

Rumour has it being closed for good although Disney still has it listed as seasonal but it wouldn't be the first time they did this.

I never really understood the point of this atraction. Plus the idea of putting on the unsanitized headphones really grossed me out. (That is the "Monk" in me!) I liked it better when the audience was part of the show.

he Monster Sound Show was 1000 times better! I think the point was to show off binaural audio but they were already doing that in the Soundstations which were better than the actual attraction!

As has been mentioned, it was closed last week, including the sound booths. Even the obligatory gift carts were gone. The whole area had the same look and feel that Wonders of Life had for all those years before it "officially" closed.

I can hope that they finally do something interesting in that space, but I'm not holding my breath.

It has been "seasonal" for a few years now, but pretty much consider it gone.

As everyone else has said, the monster sound show was way more entertaining and fun, plus it had Chevy Chase and Martin Short!

Yep, The Monster Sound Show was much, much, much better. I'm not sure why they thought they had to change it. I think it would still be a great show, even though Chevy Chase and Martin Short may not be quite as "in" as they used to be... Hey, I'd go!!!

You hit the nail on the head. Checy Chase and Martin Short we're not hip. Drew Carrey was a huge name at the time for ABC, and a draw for any attraction.

I always like Sounds Dangerous, but then I also love the Drew Carrey show too. I also liked the Monster Sound Show.
