Well, wife and I finally decided it was a good time to become a DVC member. Being a west coaster, having the Villas at Grand Californian and Hawaii shortly we would be able to take full advantage. Although we visit WDW more often, with the limited number of rooms available and the current incentives, we decided to but in California. We always travel during the slow season, so I am pretty sure we can find a good Studio at WDW when we come in the future. I feel we got an awesome deal and the dues are about $200.00 cheaper than what AKL was offering, and we get a great shot at the Grand Californian, which is expensive and we would normally have never been able to afford. We are super excited and looking forward to coming back to WDW in 2011. I REALLY want to stay at the Beach Club Villas. We are at Boardwalk Villas right now and the convenience is awesome.

Thats said, the rooms at Bay Lake are amazing. The modern design is really nice, I am sure we will want to visit sooner rather than later. But knowing we have priority at the Grand Californian and only having 52 rooms, I am thinking this was a great idea.

The points were $112.00 and we received a discount of $15.00 per point. The dues for 160 points were $611 per year.

So do you think that extra buck I'm paying per point is for the animals? Not that it really matters...I'm happy with my choice.

I think the dues at AKV will always be a bit higher than BLT or SSR because of the savanna.

I own at AKV, so I think it's worth it!
