Sept. 29, 2002 - Medicine’s New Vision and The Knowledge Vortex closed at Innoventions West: Road to Tomorrow.
Sept. 29, 2002 - Tapestry of Dreams parade route was reduced to go between Germany and Morocco only and would still perform twice a night.
Sept. 29, 2003 – Country singer Wesley Tuttle, who yodeled as one of the dwarfs in Disney’s 1937 classic “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs,” died in California.
Sept. 29, 2003 – The Walt Disney Co. introduced a new video-on-demand service called “MovieBeam,” that lets users download and store films via a set-top device.
Sept. 29, 2004 – The late Frank Thomas was remembered at a special event held at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. One of the most beloved of the celebrated “Nine Old Men” Thomas passed away on Sept. 8th.
Sept. 29, 2004 – Disney’s hour-long drama series “Kevin Hill” began airing on UPN-TV. (Ended June 8, 2005)
Sept. 29, 2005 – Disney’s one-hour drama series “The Night Stalker” began airing on ABC-TV.
Sept. 29, 2005 – Disney Electronics introduced Disney Mix Sticks digital audio MP3/WMA platers.
Sept. 29, 2006 – The 11th Annual “Epcot International Food and Wine Festival” began in Epcot at WDW. (Ran through Nov. 12)
Sept. 29, 2006 – The Disney Channel debuted the 16th “Hannah Montana” episode “Good Golly, Miss Dolly” featuring country music legend Dolly Parton as Miley’s godmother.
