New Year's Eve Suggestions

:mickey: I am fortunate enough to be able to be at Disney World for New Year's Eve this year!!! I will be with my family, which includes DH with three DD's and my parents. I'm trying to decide what to do on New Year's Eve. I have read what a nightmare it may be to be at Magic Kingdom that day. Any suggestions of other cool things to do at Disney on that day?

If you don't want to get to the MK early ot spend the day in what is pretty much gridlock...you might spend the evening in the area around the boardwalk...lots of activity/street entertainment/etc....then head up to the area just outside the gate at Disney studios and catch the fireworks at midnight.

I love that idea! We are in the same situation with Mom's health not allowing us to stay in the parks all day and not knowing if we can get back in at midnight due to capacity so that sounds like a great option.
