Sept. 14, 2001 - The Disney Channel Original Movie “The Poof Point” aired for the first time.
Sept. 14, 2001 – The “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” attraction opened at Disney’s California Adventure. (Closed Aug. 20, 2004)
Sept. 14, 2002 – New York’s “Lion King” went to Dallas, Tx. And performed at the Music Hall at Fair Park. All proceeds would go to the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas.
Sept. 14, 2002 – Disney’s “Fillmore” debuted on ABC-TV’s morning line-up. Cornelius Fillmore was voiced by Orlando Brown.
Sept. 14, 2002 – The ABC network began airing “ABC Kids” on its Saturday Morning programming.
Sept. 14, 2004 – Disney’s “Home on the Range” was released on DVD.
Sept. 14, 2004 – Actress Brooke Tansley stepped into the role of Belle in Disney’s Broadway stage show Beauty and the Beast.
Sept. 14, 2006 – Disney suspended all Segway Tours and experiences at WDW due to a voluntary recall by Segway Inc. The recall was due to a software glitch that could cause the wheels to unexpectedly reverse direction. Segway use resumed Sept. 16, 2006)
Sept. 14, 2007 – Walt Disney’s Hometown Toonfest kicked off for 2 days in Marceline, Missouri.
Sept. 14, 2007 – The first of 20 nights of “Mickey’ Not So Scary Halloween Party” kicked off in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
