So, I'm headed down to LA with a friend and her family and they talked me into staying at the Jolly Roger to save some money as we are all on really tight budgets. I've never stayed there before, and now after reading the reviews, I'm terrified. Review after review states that they have a roach problem. Really?? In this day and age how can hotels have roach problems. YEW!!!

Has anyone stayed there recently and can you report your experience?

There is a website that reviews hotel rooms and they are usually accurate.

We just returned from our first trip and stayed at the Candy Cane Inn.

It was only $102 per night and included breakfast.

I would stay there again in a minute. Very clean.

For the time and money you will save with either parking or shuttle to/from the park you should check out the Ramada Maingate or the Park Vue. Both are right across from the entrance to DLR and are usually less than $100 a night.
