Sept. 7, 2001 – Disney’s “Playhouse Disney-Live,” a 10-city mall tour, opened at the Avenue at Tower City Center in Cleveland, Oh.
Sept. 7, 2001 – The 19th Annual “Night of Joy” began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (2-Day event)
Sept. 7, 2001 – “Disney On Ice Presents Toy Story 2” made a stop at Orlando’s TD Waterhouse Centre.
Sept. 7, 2001 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “New Port South” was released.
Sept. 7, 2003 – Raven-Symone (of the Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven) sang the National Anthem at the White House.
Sept. 7, 2004 – Due to complications created by Hurricane Frances, the Disney Cruise Line sent its 2 ships, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fl, instead of Port Canaveral, to disembark.
Sept. 7, 2004 - The Disney attraction “Pocahontas and her Forest Friends” closed for 4-days for rehab.
Sept. 7, 2006 – Disney’s El Capitan Theatre kicked off a limited engagement of an all new digitally enhanced “The Little Mermaid.”
Sept. 7, 2007 – WDW’s 25th annual “Night of Joy” kicked off in the Magic Kingdom. (2-day event)
Sept. 7, 2007 – Disney’s El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood presented the 1967 animated classic “The Jungle Book.” (ran through Sept. 23rd)
