I'm pretty sure I know the answer to these questions, but I guess I just want to double check myself and make sure I'm right. I was recently explaining this to someone & wanted to make sure I gave them only correct info ...

DVC members can pool hop, correct?

Can guests of members, staying on their points also pool hop? (I'm assuming no, but if the answer is yes you can ignor the next question)

But what if they the member and their guests were all staying together? (IE - I'm not a DVC owner, but for example say I was : Say for example, my parents, DH & myself stay in a 2BR Villa on points on that stay, would only myself & DH be allowed to pool hop? Or could I in that case bring my parents with us?

Can DVC members not staying on their points pool hop (IE - if you are a DVC member but desided to pay out of pocket to stay @ the GF - could you pool hop to Stormalong Bay?)

Sorry, I know that poop hopping seems awfully trifle, but like I said, I just wanted to double check that I did not mis-inform anyone. THANKS!

DVC members can pool hop. I am pretty sure that only members can pool hop. On your room key it will say "DVC member" and this is what you would show if anyone questioned you at the resort.

If you are a DVC member NOT staying on points you CANNOT pool hop. I have asked this question myself to Member Services.

Just a reminder that NO ONE can pool hop to Stormalong Bay. You also cannot pool hop to Animal Kingdom Lodge's pool.

As Tinkermom stated above, you will need your Key to the World. Your guests - if staying with you in the DVC resort/accomodations are allowed to pool hop as well.

We have pool "hopped" numerous times. It's not always an easy thing logistically, but it can be fun.

From the DVC website:

You and any Guests staying with you at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, or The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are permitted to use other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that resort hotel. Please check with a Host or Hostess at the Front Desk of the resort hotel you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your current "Key to the World" card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other resort hotel pools.

Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Stormalong Bay and the leisure pools at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. In addition, this restriction includes the leisure pools at these two resort hotels. There are no exceptions to this policy.

As a reminder, during times of high occupancy, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, Disney Vacation Club Members and any Guests staying with them may not pool hop during the following dates*:

July 1-5, 2009
September 4-7, 2009
November 23-29-, 2009
December 12, 2009 - January 3, 2010
*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.
