Star Wars Weekends

I have a question. We are looking to go to Disney in May 2010 and are hoping to go during the Star Wars weekends. How do these work? Are they every weekend in May and June May only. Just not sure what dates to pick.

I don't know about 2010, but this year's event was scheduled from the end of May - mid-June. We had hoped to catch one, but we were there in early May, so we couldn't.

The SWW dates are usually released Jan/Feb... and the celebrity guests names (actors, directors, etc.) are usually released late Spring. The parade (Storm Troopers) is usually a single showing at 11am or so.

We went in June... Great time. Plan to see your favorite "must see" characters/celebrities early on. Skip the standard HS attractions/rides until after you've done and seen most of your SW favs.

Unfortunately, the last couple of years Star Wars Weekends have been very inconsistent as far as the dates are concerned. They could be the last two weeks of May/first two weeks of June like this year, they could be all June like in 2008, or they could change it around even further as they have in the past (last two weeks of May/all of June when Ep.III was released). There is no way of knowing what dates they'll be held until Disney releases them. We've lurked on many different sites, including the Official Star Wars site, and while rumors are abundent, most were wrong this past year when everyone deemed it would be an "all June" event.
