I was wondering.....The last 2 years we have gone.. But this year, I think we better not the tickets went up from 48 last yer to 52 this year. But I only want to see the parade. I cannot remember but last year they never asked us if we had tickets to the party and we did. I don't even think we had bands last year and it was packed... Beyond packed couldn't even move at the castle which makes me think I could stay for the parade. I do not want to ride that night just see the parade. What do others think???

The only option is to buy the tickets to the party if you want to see the parade.

The added crowds you experienced at previous parties could have been due to an insufficient effort in clearing out the park of all non-ticket holders. This is a potentially serious issue as Disney must ensure that only party ticket holders remain at MK after 7:00. It would be grossly unfair to allow crowds to remain at the party without buying the event ticket.

I know this but last year it was unbelievable packed to the nines...on Tuesday night. We couldn't move. So no way all those people had tickets. they just parked at the Castle waiting for the fireworks show. Really unfair to those of us who paid big money to be there. Although, it was a cinch to get on rides no lines at all. Go figure

Not to be mean, but after that statement why would you think its ok for you to stay for the parade without the ticket if you thought it was so unfair when you paid for your tickets? If you even had to ask the question then you probably know what is the right thing to do.

I always look at situations like this from a parental point of view. Is this something I want my kids to think is OK to do? To me its the same thing as stealing, and I don't want to teach my kids that sometimes its OK to break the rules or steal, because it should never be OK. Just my opinion on the matter.

The right thing to do would either be to buy the tickets and enjoy the party or not buy the tickets and leave the park when it closes to non party guests.

I am not going to do this, but someone on another board had said something to this effect and just wondered if anyone noticed it last year. We were quite upset that so many people would do this and get away with it. I wanted someone to fess up that they had in fact done this. The poster had asked if it could be done and I was trying to see if anyone had. I wold never do this as I wold be the one they escorted out and be embarrased. I pay for everything I get and didn't even eat the so called FREE cocoa and cookies...

I never dreamed I would be accused b a poster that I was cheating the system. I just did not word it right I guess but thought it while typing. Ok, done with this thread we do not need a shouting session.

I have been asked several times by CMs while waiting for the parade or fireworks if I had a wristband when they couldn't easily see it. It has been my experience that the CMs do try to clear the park.

Same here, and also several times while walking around they would have a wristband checkpoint and would not let you through until you showed your wrist band. My feelings about anything have always been, just because someone else is breaking the rules or getting away with something, doesn't make it right for me to do it too.

I agree but the poster on a scrapbooking site I go to asked this and so i thought that I would throw it out there. I already have our tickets. Last year we were not asked one time. I wondered as wel with the crowd levels it had to be people that did not have tickets as the rides were nothing to get on. But around the castle it was packed. From 7 on... I told them it wasn't fair but they insisted that they could stay on main street and wait for the parade by shopping in the stores then coming out when it started. I wouldn't want to be escorted out of there... The Galaxy theater was horrible to get into. Crowds like you would not believe.Well only about 100 days till we get there and 104 till our party night.

YEA! :joy: I will be there right before you get there only 96 days to go for me 98 till MVMCP! :joy:

Btw. I would also be the only one who was caught without a ticket and escorted out and made the example of. That's just how my luck goes! :D
So with my luck I can't afford to chance anything.

I have never encountered not being asked for my ticket for either MVMCP or MNNSP. We are always asked for wristband or for EMH my resort id. I will say I will be VERY upset if I encounter your experience LY when we attend the party in 76 days.

First of all to the OP, I'm sorry if you felt your question was mis-interpreted. Unfortunately, even after reading it a few times, I would have come to the same conclusion as some of the posters here. Sometimes it's best to re-read your posts before hitting the "submit" key, so that you're sure to get your wording correct ;).

Okay, now on to MVMCP. Until the week of Christmas, you need the party tickets to see the parade. It's been a few years since I went (honestly, one time was enough), but it sounds like things may have changed. When I attended, we arrived about 2 hours before the park closed. We got our wristbands at the entrance and rode a few rides. They announced the park closing and we were ushered to Tomorrowland. We had to show our wristbands and they kept 2 or 3 rides open while we waited for them to clear the park. This was a Tuesday night and I do remember the castle being packed for the early parade. We decided to go on rides and catch the later parade, which was much less crowded.

I don't know, maybe the process is still the same for those within the parks and once they know it's been cleared, they don't bother with wristbands for those entering with tickets through the turnstiles  . I wouldn't say that it would be impossible, but I have to think it'd be very difficult to stay hidden during the hour they clear out the park. It's more likely that a majority of the 25,000 or so ticket holders watch the earlier parade, therefore making it appear much more crowded.

The two years we went to the party, the parade was shown to the general public on Saturdays anyway. You may want to grab a times guide when you get there. It will be a day parade instead of a night parade.

I already have tickets, this was all for a scrapbooking forum poster that asked ,me. I just do not know why I even supposed it for her. But honestly last year we were not checked and had the plastic cards. I do not remember getting bands last year and that they told us to have our cards out for every ride so we did and showed them. We have paid and gone several times before and decided that this will be our last year so we will go again. If we get to go again I would love to try the Halloween events it looks so much fun..

Tell your scrapbooking friend to post her own question next time, that way she can get the tomato's thrown at her instead of them being thrown at the messanger. :scared: :D LOL

Don't take offense to any negative comments you may have received, message board questions don't always come across like we mean them too.
