Tokyo Dining. They have a full menu there, so you can order from the Teppanyaki restaurant next door to it as well as sushi. Lots of fun for adults and kids to try using chopsticks (regular silverware available on request). And the view of the World Showcase lagoon is fantastic, especially if you get reservations right around sunset or during Illuminations.

I would go with something at a resort, and away from the parks since its your first night. It can be tiring from traveling all day, going to a park that first night.

I would go with Cape May Cafe! Relaxing, and gorgeous resort and you can take it easy and rest up for the next full day!

Thanks for the help.

Cape May and Chef Mickeys were both unavailable on the 12th. We even attempted to shift some other ADRs to accomodated, but no luck.

No worries though, we'll figure something out. I tentitively booked The Wave in the meantime just in case. I will keep trying back and see if anything opens up.

Thanks again!

Our new try this year that isn't on your list is the Captian's Grill. Havent eaten there yet bu the menu looks delicious.

We love Teppan Edo.... Food was good and so was our chef. My DD and friends are still talking about this dining experience.:mickey:

1900 Park Fare:

- Gives you a grand slam of the must-eat/visit resorts (Poly, AKL, WilLodge, Florid)

- Great character dining experience without the reduced food quality or chaotic atmosphere of other character meals.

- Funniest character interactions with some of the few remaining people with reigns to go a bit off script.

- Range of international styles with food will please mixed appetites and ages.

- Restriction of calling it an evening dinner will prevent you from eating at AK, which would be where my other suggestions would come from.

I would also add to brian200boston's call for Captain's Grill - a great off-beaten-track restaurant but one that I would primarily recommend for breakfast (on a day at Epcot). And you won't need an ADR for there.

My thoughts were Boma or Chef Mickey's.

Another vote for Cape May Clambake! That is actually our traditional first night dinner!

I agree this was a great meal. The service was fantastic as was the food. If you go you have to try the green tea pudding for dessert!
