Well, tomorrow's the big day, surgery at 9:30, ugh!! (hysterectomy). I wanted to thank all of you for your words of advice, they really really helped!! I'm just such a big baby about this stuff! Anyhow, if you could throw a little pixie dust this way, I'd so appreciate it. I'm just going to think Disney World thoughts as much as I can, lol. :mickey:

Lots of prayers and pixie dust to you. Be sure to take it easy during your recovery and do not lift anything! There is a great board out there for hysterectomy gals. PM me when you are up to it if you haven't found it already. It was very, very helpful to me while I was recovering.

Be sure to take it easy!

Take it EASY afterwards!! It'll be hard to do because you'll feel SO much better after surgery!! But remember it's a major surgery & give yourself plenty of time to heal!! Six weeks is not a magic "I'm all healed" switch! Give yourself plenty of time.

You'll do great!!

Hi everyone,
I made it! (happy dance). I still don't like hospitals, doctors, etc., but I'm home now, so all is good. It wasn't horrific, but the pain meds really don't agree with me! I'm now down to motrin, so not bad! I definitely think taking it easy is going to be my biggest challenge!! I'll just have to keep telling myself that I'm still healing for a while. It's hard, when your kids are telling you 10 different things they need to do, and places they need to go. Teenagers are so so busy! They're good kids, though, and they understand. Thanks again everyone, I know in a month or two I'm going to be thrilled!

I'm so happy you did well! I had the same experience...pain killers were the WORST of it! Had nothing but motrin after day 2 and did just fine!

Give yourself plenty of time and you'll be out burning up the roads with those teenagers before you know it!
