My sister does not like rough, jiggly rides, but I don't want her to miss out on the Kilimanjaro Safari. Where is the best place to sit for a smoother ride?

On one website, they suggest you sit up close for the smoothest ride. We sat on the last row and was bounced around so much ~ you felt like you were on a roller coaster! It was fun for us but probably not what your sister would want. Ask the attendants - they are extremely helpful!

I do remember one trip where I sat right behind the driver. The ride there was not so bouncy. Can I request to be seated there?

I think you're probably in fine shape anywhere near the front to the middle. You can probably request it. You might have to wait a ride, but new vehicles come up all the time. And of course, make sure your sister is seated in the middle of the seat and not on the outside perhaps, to add to her feeling of security.

i agree, i think the closer you get to the front the smoother it will be

1) Half-way between the axles.
2) It is always the smoothest ride.

As with all vehicles avoid sitting above the wheel if you don't like a bumpy ride. Sitting in the middle of a row might also make the bumpiness less noticeable.

middle of the row....middle of the vehicle

We always request a seat in front of the back wheels and have NEVER not been accomodated.

I prefer the first couple of rows and that's usually where we're put when we ask. They are not bad at all, it's probably pretty darn close to the center of the vehicle and you don't have someone's head in front of you, etc.

If you sit towards the front rows, its much smoother. The weight of the engine keeps the front end from bouncing as much as the rear

another vote for right behind the driver here. me and the mrs sat right behind the driver when we rode it, and it was smooth. (to a point..lol) plus, the center is also a way to avoid bumps and side to side motion...
