Does anyone know if the monorail drops you off in front of the Magic Kingdom or the ticket center?:mickey:

You get on the monorail at the ticket center and it takes you to the entrance. If you're on the monorail from one of the hotels, it takes you to either the entrance or the ticket center; it stops at both places. If you're coming from EPCOT, you go to the ticket center (I think :secret: it's been awhile since we've done that).

There are multiple monorail stops/lines. There's a MK/resort monorail and an MK express monorail, and then a separate monorail line to and from Epcot. Not sure which one you're enquiring about.

The Resort Monorail has stops at: The Transportation Ticket Center, The Polynesian, The Grand Floridian, The Magic Kingdom, The Contemporary, and back to the TTC.

The Express: From the TTC to the MK and back.

The Epcot Monorail: Goes from the TTC to Epcot and back.

Here is a map (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:WaltDisneyWorldMonorailSystem.jpeg) of the monorail system from wikipedia.

As you can see the monorail takes you from the ticket centre to the park enterance and vice versa. You can also get to either from the resorts on the line as you would expect. The monorail has a seperate line at the TTC centre taking you to the enterance of EPCOT.

For reference the busses will drop you off at the park enterance but presumably you can get busses from the TTC to other parks. The ferry is an alternative to the monorail for getting between the TTC and the park enterance. They take roughly the same amount of time as though the monorail has a longer distance to cover it is faster. We like to take both at some point in a visit.

You can take a bus from the TTC to other parks, but not to resorts.
We took a bus from TTC to Epcot, but it was the longest wait for a bus of the whole trip. Even when we got on the bus, we still waited, while other buses came and went. I guess most people take the monorail from TTC to Epcot.

To expand on SBETIGG,

The RESORT MONORAIL travels clockwise and stops at all three (3) monorail resorts where you can disembark or board as you choose. It stops and you can board at the MAGIC KINGDOM and TTC Monorail Station.

The EXPRESS MONORAIL leaves the TTC and travels counter-clockwise, passes THRU the Contemporay Resort without stopping (Express) and ONLY stops only at the MAGIC KINGDOM. It is also your straight shot back to TTC after leaving the MAGIC KINGDOM where it travels past the GRAND FLORIDIAN & the POLYNESIAN VILLAGE STATIONS.

The EPCOT MONORAIL is a seperate track that is transportaton to and from TTC and EPCOT's MONORAIL STATIONs.

The MK Ferry Boats travel across the Seven Seas Lagoon back and forth from TTC to the entrance of the MK, just like the EXPRESS MONORAIL.

We will be riding the Monorails and Ferry Boats in 22 DAYs. :joy: :fworks:  :coaster: :tikki: :train: :balloon:
