I also got post cards in the mail saying that if I renew before it expired that I would get $45 off for adult and $35 for child AP. Does this mean that I would get

- DVC AP price
-additional $45/$35 off
- 15 months

That would be sweet!

There's a offer right now when renewing an AP that you get 15 months instead of 12.

Do you need a special pin code for this or is this automatic when renewing the AP?

according to DVC member services, the 15 month offer is good for DVC AP. The post card that I got was advertising the renewal price.

I am going to need to renew in the next month, as mine expires in Sept. How will I tell them that this is what I am wanting? There has to be a PIN or something. Disney wouldn't run a 'discount' automatically, would they?

My annual pass expired in June. I purchased the renewal over the phone and received the coupon. When I went to Guest Relations in August to get the actual Annual Pass, I was told that the pass was good for 15 months and rather than expiring in June, it would expire next September. I didn't have to do or say anything.

This is good to know. My current DVC AP expires 9/7, which just happens to coincide with our last day in the parks this vacation. Since we most likely aren't going back until May I probably won't renew, but with the extra 3 months added on there at least it gives me something to think about.

I just renewed my AP w/ my DVC discount and yes, I did get 15 months for the price of 12. $366.36 to be exact. :number1:

It's killing me to pass on this offer, but I'm not really sure I will be in the World before next Sept. We are planning a trip Nov 2010, and I will probably book free dining for next fall, but nothing cast in store before then. I figured if I didn't have a trip planned w/in 3 months of the expiration, it wasn't worth doing.

Just an FYI for anyone interested.

I just renewed my son's Seasonal Pass (non-DVC) and it was renewed for 15mos. I was going to ask about the promotion but she handed me the new ticket as she was telling me about the promo.

So, no pin and no asking needed. It's automatic.

I hope it's still being offered when I renew my pass next January.

Sounds great! We are going to renew this month. I have 18 days in the parks already planned for this next AP year, so this works out!

Is this only for renewing? I just joined dvc and will be going in nov, may an next December. If I buy an ap now will it last 15 months or should I wait til my may trip?

I'm also a somewhat recent new owner and I got the annual pass for my trip in November. However, I believe that when you first by it is still just 12 months.

If you are going more than 11+days between your November and May trips...it still might be worth it.

When I was there 2 wks ago, they had a sign at the ticket windows advertising this special.

I believe the sign I saw was specifically for FL residents, but it said if you're purchasing a new AP (or seasonal pass) it's good for 15mos. It also said this offer expires on 12/31/09.

So if these promos are the same, you're good to go if you buy that AP in Nov. :mickey:

The discount is ONLY for renewing your AP UNLESS you are a FLORIDA RESIDENT. Florida residents also receive the 15 months for 12 months when purchasing a NEW AP. This offer is ONLY valid for Florida residents so you'll need to prove you live in Florida when you pick up your pass. Also, you must purchase your pass by December 31, 2009 and redeem it by January 14, 2010.

Disney has extended the 15 month offer for renewals through August 31, 2010.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure how similar these promos were to each other. :mickey:

:mickey:Stopped in at Guest Services in DTD last week to ask about purchasing new APs for my family and they informed me that unless they were renewals the extension does not apply, however, if they are FL residents they would get the 15 mo. on a new AP.
