Aug. 4, 1995 – Ground was broken for Disney’s newest theme park at WDW, Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Aug. 4, 1997 – Disney’s Syndicated Late-Night Talk Show “The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show” began airing.
Aug. 4, 2000 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer film “Coyote Ugly” was released.
Aug. 4, 2001 - The walls went up at Universe of Energy to have the original UoE signs relaced with the new logo signs and the ExxonMobil logo.
Aug. 4, 2002 – The Soundstation Pin Pursuit took place at the Disneyland Resort.
Aug. 4, 2003 – Disney’s new Priority Seating Policy went into effect allowing guests to make their priority seating arrangements 90 days in advance with the exception of a few restaurants.
Aug. 4, 2003 – Roy E. Disney’s 50th anniversary at The Walt Disney Company was celebrated in Burbank, Ca.
Aug. 4, 2003 – The Disney film “Freaky Friday” starring Jamie Lee Curtis, had its premiere in Hollywood, CA.
Aug. 4, 2007 – The “Hannah Montana” episode “Song Sung Bad” debuted on the Disney Channel.
Aug. 4, 2007 – The Disney Vacation Club preview center opened in the Woodfield Mall in Chicago, Il.
