In short, No. Now, if you have a $5 disney dollar bill, and your bill is $4.50, they will give you the $.50. But to exchange them dollar for dollar, I do not think that is possible.

I believe the answer is yes - you can exchange Disney Dollars back to USD at any time. I think I seen that in the Birmbaum guide.

I always thought you could change them back, that's what the "official guide book" says.

But, I've never tried...we always spend them or keep them for next time :mickey:

I always exchange my extra D$ on the last day & get usd back for them. If I have say $70 D$ & am buying a $3 item, I give the cm all my D$ & get my change in usd. The thing to remember is to go to a register that is likely to have lots of cash. Going to the churro stand is not a good idea. There is nothing wrong with this, the cm's do it all the time.

You can purchase Disney Dollars or exchange Disney Dollars for cash at The Town Hall at MK. They usually have a good variety of different Disney dollar characters there. They are really helpful if you have any issues.

If you go to the Town Hall at the MK you can ask them which different/new characters they may have. It's kinda fun to have a variety of them.

I got my Disney Dollars at The Disney Store a few weeks ago. They're themed with the Celebration theme of this year. They're colorful and pretty.

According to the Birnbaum 2009 Guide:

"Disney Dollars are available at City Hall (as well as all Disney stores) in $1, $5, and $10 denominations. They are accepted for dining and merchandise throughout Walt Disney World and can be exchanged at any time for U.S. currency."

page 101.

1) Absolutely.
2) Dollar for dollar.
3) Or, five dollars for five dollars.
4) Any cash register with do this.
5) If you get flack, any Guest Services or resort Front Desk.
