For me, it would have to be a stuffed figment doll from '90. I was eight years old, on my first trip to WDW. It is about 7 inches tall and sits on top of my bookcase with a bunch of other cool souvenirs.

A sticker that my husband brought back from his first trip in the seventies... When we got married I framed it because we had no money, (and little furnishings). It was the only thing on our walls. I had never been yet at that point, but I loved the idea of it already. I thought the art looked perfect over the crate with the hand-me-down lamp!:cloud9: The orange construction paper backing really set it off. Thanks for bringing me a smile today.

My oldest souvenir is also a Figment. I have a Figment keyring from 1986. My mom and I went in July that year just before I left to be an exchange student in FInland. I also have a tea cozy from England that I got on that trip.

I still have a licence plate of the Magic Kingdom from 1975. Of course back then, MK was all there was to Walt Disney World. I have it mounted on a wall in my house.

Good times.

His red shirt that once said Pooh no longer says Pooh. He looks REALLY bad! Then I have a very tall Marie stuffed animal and Dumbo from the early 80's. My parents even have some unused tickets from 1976. They have them put up with our Elvis tickets from his last concert that they went to and the concert that he was to have, but died before he could actually do it. Yes, I actually remember going to his concert and I was only 4. I slept through the whole first act! LOL!!!!:secret:

I have a gold charm, well 'had' a gold charm (my Mom wears it all the time now). I bought it in 1986 and it is the old WDW logo, a world with ears. I would give anything to get the same charm in silver!

We still have a old Cooking with Mickey cookbook, I think it is from 1986 or 87.

I bought a lot of Epcot stuff in 1985 on my first visit, so I have patches, keychains, license plates all with the original Epcot Center logo. I used to collect license plates (when Disney still made them for all occasions). I would always buy two, one to put on the front of my car, the other to keep new.

I have this set of rubber character figures in plastic. I think they were erasers but I never used them. We got them on our first family trip in 72 or 73. If you walk through Walt Disney: One Man's Dream they have them in one of the cases on display. I think it was in the last room.:mickey:

I have a bunch of dress-up items from PotC (hat, eyepatch, hook, ball and chain, etc.) from when I was a pirate for Halloween in 1989. I also have this pink nameplate with ballet slippers on it, probably from around the same time. It's not very Disney-esque, but I do remember mom buying them somewhere in the MK.

My first mouse ears from 1980! The hat part is red and looks like a full hat, not a beanie like the current mickey ears. I also have my ticket from that first trip which looks like a gift tag and has a string. The dates we visited MK are stamped on the tag.

I have a WDW towel from either 1976 or 1980. I also have Mickey ears, which I think is from our 1976 trip. One thing that I definitely have from my 1976 trip is the bicentennial WDW Guide/Park map. It's in the safe.

I still have some "A" and "B" tickets left from one of our ticket books from 1971 (MK had only been open a few weeks). Back then, it wasn't one price admission; instead, you had to buy ticket books with individual ride tickets designated "A" thru "E", with the "E" tickets being for the biggest and best attractions. We used up all of our "C", "D" and "E" tickets, but i still have some of the "A" & "B" ones.

I have a guide book, A and B ride tickets that were leftover and slides (the kind you can show on the wall) all from the 70's. The slides have the Main Street Electrical Light Parade which I wish Disneyland would give back to Disneyworld :thedolls:...havne't they had that parade long enough?

edit: I don't know how I forgot this...I also have a stuffed mickey from the 70's. He's around the same size as the ones they sell now, but he doesn't have the year attached and has a slightly different look. He's wider and furry.

I have a ton of mementos from our first trip in 1974 ... ticket books, placemats, napkins, postcards, etc.

Those are official "souvenirs" (i.e. things I legitimately collected myself), but I do own some older Disneyland things that I bought or traded for.

We have tickets from my grandparents trip in the late 70's. But the one that most comes to mind are the 83 EPCOT jersey that my brother and I got on our second trip August 1983. The shirts are still in great condition even though our children now wear them. The shirts back then were really made well. My niece loved my brothers so much but had out grown it, so I found an adults medium of the same shirt on ebay and gave it to her for Chirstmas. She wears it as an night shirt now.

DW still has our original tickets from 1992 - They are made of heavy stock paper and were stamped with a date stamp machine when you entered the park. They also have our picture on them...

That was our first trip and one year wedding anniversary...We looked so young in our pictures....:pirate::princess:

Being from So Cal area, my family didn't go to WDW until Epcot opened. So my first souvenirs were all EPCOT unique (i.e. not Disneyland-like) - including Figment, keychains, pens, and tshirts with the EPCOT Center logo. I liked not seeing Disney characters for a change (they did that for the first few years).

What a great topic! :mickey: I love reading about all the great stuff you guys still have.

Even though I went the year the park opened (I was 3) and again a few years later, the oldest souvenir I have is from a trip in the 80's (89 I think?). It's a big Roger Rabbit button/pin that says spring break and the year. They were handing them out free when you bought tickets.

I have a lot of old souvenirs from WDW. I think the oldest thing would be a jewelry box my mom has from 1980 0r 1983. I have several small ceramics of like Mickey and the gang from 1984, and also a gigantic Figment stuffed animal. Poor Figment was always naked because I'd take the shirt off of him to play dress up. This is a souvenir, but I have a 1983 Steve Baurbum WDW guide book. It is so weird seeing how the place has changed!

I love this topic, too.

We moved recently and I found large button (the kind with a pin on the back) that was from the "Tencennial".

I'm trying to think of the oldest souvenir that was one that was just mine, but I can't :(

The oldest souvenir I currently own is a Mickey Mouse t-shirt that my mom got at Disneyland back in the 70's. It no longer fits her, but fits me perfectly. Other than that, the oldest souvenirs I can remember are a stuffed Dumbo and a stuffed Figment. I'm not sure when my brother and I got them, but they've been around since probably the '84 trip.

I brought back three things from my one and only trip to WDW back in 1986. Going back June '10 for 1st trip for DH & DD! A postcard from Ft. Wilderness Campground where we stayed, a sweatshirt with Musket Mickey on it, and a mug from EPCOT. The only thing I have left is the postcard. The EPCOT mug and shirt may still be at my parents house---I need to go on a scavenger hunt!

I also have a stuffed "Fuzzball" from Captain EO, but I forget if it was from that trip, or not.

I have a Minnie Mouse watch that I got at Disneyland when I was about 8 years old, that would mean it is from 1972. The only bad thing is After I had it a while when I was a kid we changed out the band to a "cool" flower power type band so I don't have the original band to go with it. I suppose it might have been of some value now if I still had that part too!

My favorite souvenir: are three silhouettes that my mom, my sister, and myself had made when I was about three, on Main Street. That was in 1988, and you can still get them made today! :D

My oldest souvenir: is a blanket with the castle quilted on it. It is a very pale pink, and I got it on my first trip, when I was barely one. It was my "binky" when I was tiny, and I carried it everywhere.

I was rummaging in an old chest just yesterday and found a ticket from 1986. May 25,26,29 is stamped on it. The 3 day ticket is $53.50.
The importance of this ticket to me is this is the first trip I ever made without my parents. I was living in Mass at the time. It was a big deal for a 19 year old to take a plane and go to WDW without Mommy and Daddy, just my friend and I. Still not sure to this day how I talked my overprotective father into that.

Luckily, my mom saved everything from all our trips (1st one in October of '86 - I was 13), so I have tickets, park maps, and even napkins from different restaurants.
