To get to 9pm Illuminations after a 7pm showing of Fantasmic?? Crazy? Can we make it there walking? boat? I know there are tons of people leaving at that time as the park closes at 7pm am I insane to think we could make it?:unsure: how long does it take to walk to the international gateway from DHS anyway??

We have done it several times. The line for the boats can be really long, we always walk.

Yes, it can be done, but I would suggest getting a seat near the entry point to the theatre so when the show is over you don't get caught at the far side of amphitheater where you will be stuck behind the masses trying to escape.

You can easily make it over in that time frame. But I also would say walk, it will be about 20minutes at a leisurely pace. The walkway is off the sidewalk just past the bus stop area. The line from the boats can be very long and, as we found out once, its quite possible to miss Illuminations that way.
