I did a quick search and did not find that anyone had posted this yet? Just recently put up on youtube is the entire ride with Cronkite narration. THIS is how I remember SSE. Complete with paperboy "working" up front and little boy voice to match his stature as well as Tomorrow's Child. Hope you enjoy it.. I did :)

Thanks for posting this! It was strange, but this ride popped into my head when I heard that he had passed, and I wanted to see it...and I couldn't find it on Youtube.

This will always be my favorite version of the ride...mainly for the voice of Cronkite voice-over and the theme song!

YES! Thanks. For me this is THE version of Spaceship Earth. I can still hear Walter Cronkite's deep smooth authoritative voice in my head as we head up the ascent into the darkness every time. :mickey:

And I sing "Tomorrow's Child" to my daughter on the way down.:D

Very nice. My favorite though is Jeremy Irons. His voice is so smooth that it almost takes you back in time. "Like a grand and miraculous spaceship...." man I love that:D. Great clip though, it brings back memories.

The Cronkite version was my first and, IMHO, still the best...RIP Mr. Cronkite!

Just an FWI - the link was taken down....

It was, as outside links aren't allowed on INTERCOT due to our not being able to check each and every link to verify whether or not it's family-friendly.

A quick search on YouTube should bring up the desired video.

Agreed completely! I was just giving the poster an FYI - honestly I was surprised to see the link up at all! Ha ha:secret:

Jeremy Irons version was by far my favorite. I do not like what Spaceship Earth has become. The ending music/scenes of the Jeremy Irons version always managed to move me to tears. Now on the newest version, I find myself getting bored very quickly on the descent.
