View Full Version : What attraction do you refuse to miss?

As I think about it, I've never been able to ride Soarin', see Fanstasmic, nor go to the Haunted Castle. Seriously, how could I be missing these things! I read such great things about them. So, it's left me thinking, when you go to WDW, what is the ONE attraction that you must see and do.

Ours has been:
DD: Little Mermaid Show at DHS
DH: Star Tours
me: Dole Whip (okay, not necessarily an attraction, but absolutely will not miss out!)

Thanks! :mickey:

i love american history, and its some of the best aa's the park has to offer! As a bonus the voices of liberty is one of the best pre shows in the world

Pirates of the Caribbean! Its always the first ride we do.

I'd be pretty bummed if we went and it was closed.

Yo Ho Yo Ho, a pirates life for me....

For me it's "Small World" and "Tommorowland Transit Authority" it just doesn't feel like a visit to WDW w/o those 2 things!

Same for us. Always do it first as a nice introduction to the world. DId go one year when it was closed and it did feel like something was missing.

DHS: Tower of Terror is a must. There is no greater ride.

MK: Splash Mountain - no matter how cold it is, I have to hear Zip-e-dee-do-dah.

Epcot: No day is complete without hearing the Liberty Voices. And the Maelstrom is right behind. (I'm with you, I've yet to do Soarin' - but I do it at DL)

AK: I have to hit the Safari TWICE for a good day at the AK. And with the kids, we have to catch the Nemo show.

There is no major attraction I miss when I go to the parks, unless it is closed, but to pick one, it would be Spaceship Earth.

I've never missed a major attraction in the times I've gone, but one I always ride twice seems to be Splash Mountain. It's hard to miss that ride, even harder to get off that ride without whistling or singing any of the songs.

Although I love almost all of the rides/attractions, I try not to miss Peter Pan's Flight. I missed it a few years ago when I got sick during our trip and it really left a void. Funny thing is, even thought it's my favorite, we usually only ride it once per trip, but we go on other rides (SM, SE) 3 or 4 times.:mickey:

Haunted Mansion for me (and we cannot ride it any less than 3 times :D )

Beyond that our other can't miss attractions are:

Spaceship Earth
Test Track
O' Canada
Small World
Pirates
TTA

And while everyone else is enjoying(?) Pooh's honeypots, I close my eyes and imagine that I'm still riding in Mr. Toad's Motorcar!

It's hard to name just one. At MK - almost everything is a don't miss - either because of the awesome-factor or the nostalgia factor, so I can't even think about this question for MK rides.

Otherwise, the one I would be the most disappointed to miss would be Soarin'

MK-We always manage to go to the Haunted Mansion(One of my personal favorites) at least twice. Ditto with Splash Mountain and The TTA. Though, last time we didn't manage the TTA. It was shut down because they were fixing Space Mountain. :(

AK-Me and my Mom are thrill ride buddies and HAVE to ride Mount Everest when we go. Unless you have a huge family, go to the single riders lane. We did that a few times one day and one time I even got the same family twice. :) Now that was cool.

E- Soarin'! My mom loves Soarin'; therefore, we must ride it every time. Its amazing. The smells and the views never get old. Also, Test Track is a huge MUST.

HS- Three words: Toy Story Mania. It is SO worth the huge waits. Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are amazing. :) Can't miss those!

MK - me it's HM, for hubby it's Pan

Epcot - me and hubby both love SSE

DHS - for me it's the Great Movie Ride, for hubby it's ToT

AK - for me it has to be ITTBAB and for hubby it's the safari, but I think that is only because we haven't had a chance to experience EE yet. We are looking forward to that on our upcoming trip in Sept.

We actually passed up a trip with free dining (on the old DDP where it was a better value) so DH wouldn't miss the HM. (That was during the overhaul in summer 2007.)

We love almost everything there and it would be hard to not do most of it at least once during a trip.

The only "must do" for us is the Safari at the Animal Kingdom. The AK is always our first park (and sometimes our last).

Soarin' is certainly starting to get there for us, too, so maybe we'll have two "must do's."

My #1 "can't miss" ride is definitely POTC. :pirate: We went during the most recent big refurb of that ride (2006 I think?) and it was closed down during our whole trip. I was so bummed! It just wasn't the same going to MK and not being able to ride it!

A few other can't miss rides for me are EE, TTA, and Peter Pan.
