We would like our 4yr old niece to experience this when we are there but only if she can drive. I know you have to be a certain height to drive solo but how tall does she have to be to drive if one of us is in the car with her?

She can drive as long as an adult is in the car with her.

That's great!! Thanks for the info.

One more question: Is the speedway open during morning EMH? I see on one spot on the WDW site that it is and then on another spot it's not listed.

Same with Splash Mountain, anyone know if this one is open for morning emh?

She still has to meet the height requirement though to enter the attraction I believe. Thats for the safety belts to hold her in

Tomorrowland Speedway is open in the morning. Splash Mountain is not.

The only height requirement is 52" for a child to drive alone. Other than that they recommend that babies under 12 months not ride. Just get ready for the bumps of the car on the guide rail . When my youngest son drove he bounced from one side to the other on the guide rail. It was hilarious.:funny:
