June 19, 1991 – Disney’s syndicated TV special “Rocketeer: Excitement in the Air,” was shown.
June 19, 1992 – The “World According to Goofy Parade” debuted at Disneyland. (Ended Nov. 15, 1992)
June 19, 1995 – A bronze statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, called the “Partners Statue,” was installed at the Magic Kingdom at WDW. It is identical to the statue at Disneyland, which was installed in November 1993.
June 19, 1996 – Disney’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” had its world premiere at the Superdome in New Orleans, La. The film would have its general release 2 days later.
June 19, 1998 – The 100,000 square foot “Disney Quest” opened at Downtown Disney West Side in WDW.
June 19, 1998 – Disney’s 36th animated feature “Mulan” featuring the singing voice of Donny Osmond, was released in the U.S. It is the 1st film produced at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida.
June 19, 1998 – “Disney’s Mulan Parade” debuted at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW.
June 19, 2001 – The Disney half-hour television series “Go Fish” began airing on ABC-TV.
June 19, 2002 – The Travel Channel’s “Great Hotels” series, hosted by Samantha Brown, featured Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
June 19, 2005 – Voting began for Discovery Channel’s Greatest American. Among the top 25 nominees is Walt Disney!
