Hi,
I am very nervous about the pirate rehab!
I do not like log flume rides, I didn't like the drop before the rehab, but tolerated it. Is the drop in the ride still the same or is it bigger?

the drop is the same, it seems when i was young it seemed so much bigger, now it seems not much to it

Agreed! Drop stayed the same....still nothing like flume ride...

its about a 10' slide down a ramp... not much to it..

Don't worry about the drop in this ride. It is very small and feels much like rolling over a hill in a car- there is no time to get the stomach dropping feeling, as it's over in less than a second. I get sick on everything and this one doesn't bother me at all. :mickey:

The drop is the same as always, not even a drop, really feels just like the boat accelerated a bit

the drop is not even remotely close to the splash mountain one, the splash mountain one midway through the ride is bigger than pirates one, i never get the butterflies on the pirates drop

That is exactly what a CM told a very anxious little girl. A 10' slide. Her mother pointed out that the playground slide was taller.

I do not like drops at all and won't go on anything that has a drop. I was told that there was a small drop in POTC and held on to the bar to brace myself and told myself it would be over in a minute. It really wasn't too bad... I did however get the stomache butterflies. But it wasn't so bad to keep me from going back on it willinging.

There's really no drop, certainly nothing like Splash Mountain. You're just sliding down a not-very-steep ramp.

The playground slide comparison is a good one. If you can handle a slide, you'll find the PotC drop to be just as tame.

It seems like the OP already knows what the drop is like, since they have been on the ride before and the drop has not changed.

I can't tolerate any drops on rides. The very first time rode POTC I freaked out when it dropped and I knew it was coming. I was forced back a few years later because I went alone with my DD who loves all rides. I figured since it was just the 2 of us I was going to have to just take it. We rode twice and each time it was easier. Now I luv, luv, luv POTC. We ride as many times as possible and the drop is nothing. I used to hold on for dear life but not any more.

Just do it....you will be fine.
