Anyone know if it's still going on? It's not noted on the rehab sched, but it wasnt the last time i visited either...

The restaurants are finished, but when I was there in May they were working on the tall building to the left (towards USA).

We were there May 24-June 4. For the first half of our trip, the Goju-no-to pagoda was undergoing refurbishment and had one of those construction screens printed to look like the attraction up around it. By about the 9th day of our trip, though, the refurbishment was done and the screen was down. The Matsuriza drummers were performing in front of the pagoda again. We didn't see any other work going on at the pavilion.

We took the Segway tour in Jan and the guide explained they are replacing all the blue tiles. The originals were done in fiberglass and need to be painted regularly. They are replacing it with authentic tiles that will retain the proper color and not need as much maintenance.
