June 1, 2001 – The Lizzie McGuire episode “Come Fly With Me” aired on the Disney Channel.
June 1, 2002 – The “Disney Cinema Parade” debuted at Walt Disney Studios Paris.
June 1, 2002 - Journey into Imagination with Figment reopened from rehab with Figment added back in and some scenes reworked.
June 1, 2004 – It was reported That Disney’s Magic Kingdom ranked number 1 in the first ever U.S. Family Travel Guide (published by Zagat Survey and Time Inc.’s Parenting magazine).
June 1, 2005 – The “Aladdin’s Whole New World” parade debuted at Tokyo Disney Sea. (Ended Aug. 31, 2005)
June 1, 2005 – Epcot’s 2005 Flower Power Concertm Series ended with final performances by Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals.
June 1, 2005 – Say Hello to ASIMO, a new presentation in the Honda ASIMO Theater, debuts at Disneyland’s Innoventions. (ASIMO’s an acronym for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility)
June 1, 2006 – The Disney Co. entered into the cellular phone industry launching “Disney Mobile” nation wide on this day.
June 1, 2007 – The first of four Star Wars Weekends kicked off at Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
June 1, 2007 – Starting on this day, WDW banned smoking in guest rooms at more than 20 of its hotels and timeshare resorts.
