May 28, 2002 – Disney’s “Rascal, The Journey of Natty Gann,” and “Cheetah” were released on DVD.
May 28, 2002 – Eastman Kodak Co. signed a multi-year agreement with the Walt Disney Co. that renewed the company’s long-standing relationship as the imaging supplier of film and related products.
May 28, 2004 – The 3rd of 5 consecutive Star Wars Weekends began at the Disney-MGM Studios. Special celebrity guests over the next 3 days included Anthony Daniels (who played C-3PO) and Andy Secombe (who portrayed Watto).
May 28, 2004 – The animated Disney short “Lorenzo” had its nationwide release, playing in front of raising Helen. Lorenzo, about a fat cat whose naughty manners become the cause of his own undoing, is based upon pencil sketches and a story idea created by Disney veteran Joe Grant 20 years ago.
May 28, 2004 – The “That’s So Raven” episode “Leave It to Diva” aired for the first time on the Disney Channel.
May 28, 2004 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “Raising Helen” was released.
May 28, 2005 – The Disney Magic was welcomed to the west coast during a ceremony at San Pedro, Ca.
May 28, 2006 – Ashley Brown gave her final performance as Belle in Disney’s Broadway hit “Beauty and the Beast.” She was cast in the title role for the upcoming Disney/Cameron Mackintosh musical “Mary Poppins.”
May 28, 2006 – The “It’s A Small World” attraction celebrated its 40th anniversary at Disneyland.
May 28, 2007 – Disney learned that their “Pirates 3” has surpassed $400 million in ticket sales around the world in the first six days of its release.
