I know this is a region specific topic. But the news in Chicagoland is not good. Kiddieland a small amusement park just outside of Chicago is closing after 81 years. This park was perfect for little kids and now being a father I'm sadend by this because my DS won't have some of the same memories I had. Anyone else out there have a similiar feelings?

I also live in the Chicago area and am sad that Kiddieland will be closing. As a child I went there a couple of times with my grandparents that lived in that area. I believe we would start the day at a nearby White Castle - but I may be mistaken. I actually live much closer to the old Santa's Village - within 5 minute drive, and as you probably know it closed at least two years ago. I could count on visiting Santa's Village many times during the year.

I recall going as a kid and had the opportunity to take my kids and nephew as well over the years. It is too bad to see it go. We have nice memories of the place.

This is going by way of Santa's Village, sorry to see such history go.
