May 18, 2003 – Disney’s animated film “Finding Nemo” had its premiere in Hollywood, Ca. Among those present for the premiere were Alexander Gould (Nemo), Erica Beck (Pearl), Stephen Root (Bubbles), Brad Garret (Bloat), John Ratzenberger (the one in the school of fish that gave directions), Elizabeth Perkins (Coral), Willem Dafoe (Gill), writer and director Andrew Stanton (Crush), Albert Brooks (Marlin), and Ellen DeGeneres (Dory).
May 18, 2004 – “Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations” (a collection of Mickey Mouse statues first displayed in WDW last Nov. 2003) began its U.S. Tour.
May 18, 2004 – The 4-disc DVD set “Walt Disney Treasures,” which included “On the Front Lines,” Mickey Mouse in Living Color (Volume Two),” “ The Chronological Donald (Volume One),” and “Tomorrowland: Disney in Space and Beyond,” were released.
May 18, 2004 – Walt Disney Records released the “That’s So Raven” television soundtrack.
May 18, 2004 – Disney’s “Miracle” was released on video and DVD.
May 18, 2004 – The much anticipated DVD Walt Disney Treasures-Tomorrowland: Disney in Space and Beyond was released. The set features the “science factual” space shows from the 1950’s.
May 18, 2004 – The Disney Vacation Club Preview Center opened at Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort & Spa.
May 18, 2005 – The new retail shop “BouTIKI” opened in the Polynesian Resort at WDW.
May 18, 2007 – The “Hannah Montana” episode “My Best Friend’s Boyfriend” aired in the Disney Channel for the first time.
May 18, 2007 – The annual “Teddy Bear and Doll Weekend” began in Epcot at WDW.
