Extra Extra Magic Hours

We are arriving on Friday at 5:30PM. The plan is to eat at Flying Fish and then go to Epcot. We don't want to waste time we could be spending at Epcot to check-in at Ft Wilderness and would rather just check-in late at night. Is there anyway to still do EMH? Would a reservation for the night be enough? I am thinking we are stuck but decided it can't hurt to see if anyone has a bright idea for dealing with my little dilemma. We only have 48 hours and we want to use every minute!

You need to be a registered guest to take advantage of the extra magic hour. To enter Epcot, you'll need to have registered at your resort before you enter Epcot.

I don't know that you'll be able to do that either as you need that room key or key to the world thing to get on rides and such. What I would recommend doing is calling ahead to Ft. Wilderness and see what they say about it as they would be able to give you a better answer.
