Hi everyone, we are having another trip planning session and still trying to decide if the dining plan in any version is going to be useful for us. We have been checking out the places we want to eat with regard to kids menus (DS will be 4) and they are all very similar, we are starting to think that he will have a very limited dining experience if we use the plan and also not get much in the way of fruit and veg. Has anyone got any tips for us regarding places with varied kids menus? On or off the dining plan. Thanks once again for all your help. :mickey:

DD (now turning 11, and happy to be on the adult menus) always more than managed on the kids menus.

At the buffets, or the family-style places, the kids can eat anything they want, so they are good for them eating a variety of food!

The kids meals aren't as bad as they seem. Most places have the regular hot dogs and chicken nuggets, but they tend to have a "special" as well. For example, fish at Coral Reef, or chicken, potatoes and veggies at Rose and Crown.

We also shared with DD, if there was something she wanted, but it wasn't on the kids meals.

All in all, she did just fine on the kids dining plan.

In our experience most of the places offered pretty much the same for kids chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, hot dogs, mini hamburgers, with choices of carrot sticks, applesauce, salads each restaurant varies a little. Buffets plenty of veggies there. And of course we would share from our main dishes if dd wanted to try.
