We are going for the first time as a family the last week of September (I have been but it's been a LOONG time!). I would love to hear some of everyone's favorite restaurant suggestions. I want to be ready with ideas before it's time to make reservations.

Thank you!!!:mickey:

Welcome to Intercot!:welcome:

You have came to the right place! I can start you out with a few and if you don't like them hang on and someone else will be around soon with some more.

We like Biergarten in Germany at Epcot, Crystal Palace at MK, Boma at AK Lodge these are buffets. I don't know why we seem to prefer them; maybe because everyone can get something they like. We have very different taste. DHS needs some different resturants we don't really like any of them except maybe Sci-fi but it is more the atmosphere than the food.

I hope you have a great time planning be sure to make those ADRs at your 90 day mark so you get what you want!

Oh, there are so many good options...Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT, the Garden Grill (character meal), Hollywood Brown Derby in DHS, Narcossee's at Grand Floridian, the breakfast buffet at Boma's (AKL), breakfast at Fresh: Mediterranean Marketplace at the Dolphin, Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom, Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney...there are soooo many more. It all depends on what kind of meal you're looking for - buffet, traditional table service, quick service.

I haven't had the opportunity to try it, but the new picnic service at AK sounds like great fun...and a good additional for a park that seems to have limited food options.

Happy Eating!

Any of the Signature Restaurants (except Brown Derby) are a safe, if potentially pricey, bet; California Grill and Flying Fish are the best imho. Boma is a great buffet. I am leery to give other options, as they tend to be controversial; while I love both Coral Reef and Le Cellier, other people think they are very overrated.

So many it's hard to choose....
Le Cellier (their signature tenderloin is to die for)
Boma (great unique foods for a nice change)
Castle breakfast or crystal palace breakfast are nice for their atmosphere and good breakfast.
Kona Cafe has good food and yummy bread
Wolfgang Puck cafe has delicious food...my favorite is the squash ravioli and the tuna appetizer

Suggestions will vary for different families. If your children are young, then character meals will rate high. If it is just adults, California Grill, Flying Fish and Narcoossee's will be right up there. So with qualifiers, here's some of our favorites.

Fun for all:
O'hanas
Sci-Fi
Crystal Palace
Coral Reef

More for adults:
California Grill
Brown Derby
Le Cellier

Leave the kids behind:
Flying Fish
Narcoossee's

Hope this helps. Have fun planning!

Try to get to Ohana for a character breakfast the morning you're planning on being in the MK. The food is great and you can get some photos with Mickey without waiting in line at the MK. Plus, you can take the monorail to the MK after breakfast. You may have to take a cab to the Poly from whatever resort you're staying at, but it's well worth it IMHO. :mickey:
