Would you choose 'Ohana or Kona for dinner? We have DS 5 and DS 3... looking for yumminess of food and overall experience as main factors. Thanks!

We are trying Kona for the first time in December but we LOVE 'Ohana's. The food is wonderful and the kids had a great time. We eat at 'Ohana's fro either breakfast or dinner every trip. Dinner is my favorite and breakfast is my DH's.

I think the kids would have more fun at O'Hana's since it's more laid back. The food at Kona was good but the service was slow!

We have eaten at both places multiple times. They are both good but we LOVE Ohana. They have a parade and some activities for kids so most likely your kids will like it better.

It's a never miss for us.

We all seem to be pretty much in agreement that the kids will have a better time at 'Ohana. And considering that my past few times at Kona, the food at dinner has been hit or miss, you might dine better at 'Ohana as well (we had a really nice dinner there in December).

I would choose Ohana's, especially since you have children. The food is delicious, and you can eat as much as you want, and they also have different activities for kids.

'Ohana- amazing salad!! Also, the kids activities are so fun to watch (esp. the limbo contest)- even for those of us without kids!:mickey:

Both are very good, but very different.

'Ohana was very lively and the kids hardly sat still during the meal. They have activities that the kids had to leave the table for, which was fine, but made for a looooong meal. Food was excellent, waiter was fabulous. The salad and the beef are awesome!!

Kona was more quiet and had a relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent, we ate lunch and dinner here. Desserts were excellent!

Almost forgot, whichever one you choose, be sure to get a Lapu Lapu from the bar if you have to wait for your reservation.

You won't be disappointed :papple:

We went to Kona and won't be going back! No kids with us, but we had my mom (which is probably worse!) and the service was awful, the food was only ok, etc.

On the other hand, we've been to Ohana many, many times and are planning on going back again this trip.

For overall experience and yumminess of food....Ohana.

We enjoyed Kona last time, but if you never have done Ohana, it is a must do.

I always say Kona for breakfast and 'Ohana for dinner.

Your kids would love 'Ohana way more than they would Kona. Lots of entertainment and fun foods at 'Ohana. Plus, you get a great view of the lagoon and MK. Can't beat it!!

We love 'Ohana and are headed back this trip. Lots of fun for the kids and who doesn't love a drink in a fresh pineapple?!

If you've never done 'Ohana, go that route. HOWEVER, I think the food is tastier and the atmosphere more relaxed at Kona.
