Either Greece or a South American country like Argentina or Brazil.

Australia would be great! :number1:

Followed closely by Greece and Egypt.

It's time for another country to be added, don't you think??

My first choice would be Ireland, I guess.

Russia is an excellent idea, too! I'd also nominate one of the Pacific Islands--perhaps Samoa?

Australia or New Zealand.

Wow so many to choose from. I like the idea of Australia, but since my brother is dating someone from Columbia... maybe they could have a South American theme.

NewJersey, have a tie in with Test Track, expand the loop to the new country and sit in traffic.

I like the Russia idea but maybe something like Switzerland or Sweden (I guess maybe Norway and Sweden could be similar but I have no idea honestly!)

Russia would be my 1st choice and Egypt would be my 2nd choice.

Probably 2 places I will not have a chance to visit so it would be great to explore them at Epcot :mickey:

I would say India would be good because of the architecture and rich culture. They have alot of really good foods to sample that would be unlike anything else offered in WS. Egypt would be cool, but it would resemble Morocco in a way I think. :mickey: :mickey: :mickey:

Epcot is my most favorite park. My parents took me the first year it was open, and every thing pales in comparison. As far as a new country...I would have to go with Greece or Egypt, both are cultures not yet represented.

Greece! :mickey:

With Greece you could tie in the Hercules characters and then make a huge water, dark ride themed on The Odyssey...think of all the monsters, etc. :thedolls:

India! Its the second-most populated country in the world. It deserves some representation, methinks.

Hmm. A dark water ride. Sounds like the ride I came up with at an Imangineer class at the Disney Institute. I think both it and the Imagineer ended up at Sea World.

Another vote for Russia. I think the architecture is so distinctive that it would be beautiful.

Also Greece is a great idea. Lots of history and mythology to work with. Not to mention super yummy food.

I was totally going to post that :)

The latest edition of the Unofficial Guide says that Russia, Spain, and Austrailia were being tossed around. I'd love Eygpt though, as long as they made sure to high light modern as well as ancient.

Ireland is already represented in the UK. My husband likes to argue that it's not really Ireland but more England, but still-- it's not the England pavilion. It's the UK, of which Ireland is a part. You can find Irish gifts and candies represented in the UK shops. There's an Irish pub at Downtown Disney.

Similarly, Asia and Africa are represented at the AK. Sanaa is opening with Indian food at the AKL. Australia has a great landmark, but they don't bring much of a culture difference or new food to WS.

I like the idea of Greece, great food and ride potential, plus characters-movie tie in with Hercules. But now Cat Cora's restaurant will be representing Greek food at the Boardwalk. I like Russia, Spain, or a South American country.

Ireland is not part of the U.K. ONLY Northern Ireland. The rest of the country has been independent of the U.K. for almost 100 years.

My choice for next country in WS would be Brazil - CARNIVALE!!

That's the DH's argument, but I still feel Ireland is represented to some degree and that I would prefer to see something really different at WS. The DH is big on Ireland. We talked about it when were shopping at the WS UK last week.

i like this topic...my buddy and i have actually talked about it before..
i'm gonna take my idea in a different direction than a country pavilion. i remember reading once that Disney Hollywood studios was orignallhy going to be an epcot pavilion until they saw the potential to making it it's own park.. so a pavilion doesn't have to be a specific coutnry/
in that spirit i have kind of two ideas...the first one is a pavilion celebrating Marceline, MO, Walt's unoffical hometown. I think you could make a pavilion taking people back to old time country living....w/ a history of walt, where he came from, and how he got to be where we are at...you can combine the old time, good feeling of small life, w/ a history of Disney.....my second idea would be a continuation of walt's idea of what Epcot was suppose to be...a city of the future...it could be a celebration of what the future may bring us. It could bring us what the latest in technology, medicine, and science and show us how it will shape our future.
just a couple ideas....

Not that Disney would care, but Busch Gardns and Universal both have "egypt" themed rides/areas so I don't know if Disney would want to focus there.

1) We keep forgetting that Disney doesn't do the countries.
2) Independent companies pay to have the countries built.
3) And pay to have them staffed and operated. *

* Morocco was paid by the government. All others were paid for by companies or entities such as tourism boards or companies involved with tourism.
