Apr. 11, 2003 – The “That’s So Raven” episode “Dissin’ Cousins” aired on the Disney Channel.
Apr. 11, 2003 – The Disney/Walden Media film “Ghosts of the Abyss” was released.
Apr. 11, 2004 – The Disney 1-hour TV special “Nick & Jessica Variety Hour” aired on ABC-TV.
Apr. 11, 2006 – Hiltrud Blumel, a 49-year-old German woman, died of a stroke after riding Mission: Space in Epcot at WDW.
Apr. 11, 2006 – Winnie the Pooh celebrated his 80th birthday by receiving the 2,308th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Ca.
Apr. 11, 2006 – Walt Disney Home Entertainment released “Pooh’s Grand Adventure-The Search for Christopher Robin,” on DVD.
Apr. 11, 2006 – Walt Disney Records released “The Wild Soundtrack” from the newest computer animated film, “The Wild.” The soundtrack featured performances from Everlife, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Eric Idle & John Du Prez.
Apr. 11, 2006 – The Walt Disney Company Foundation made a $1 million donation to UNICEF at the Gala Dinner of the 6th Annual Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Washington, D.C.
Apr. 11, 2007 – Emmy-award winning actor Roscoe Lee Brown passed away at age 81. Browne’s Disney credits include the voice of Mr. Arrow in the 2002 “Treasure Planet,” the voice of Francis in the 1988 “Oliver and Company,” and the role of Gazenga in the 1973 live-action feature “The World’s Greatest Athlete.”
Apr. 11, 2008 – “Disney’s California Food and Wine Festival” began at the Disneyland Resort. (Ran through May 5, 2008)
