Crowds in May?

Just wondering if anyone could tell me how bad the crowds are the first week in May. I gotta get one more trip in before summer time cause the humidity is killer down here.

Well, normally, they aren't too bad. However, this year the prediction sites have all of May at an 8 out of 10 on the crowd scale. The weekends are 9 out of 10. All year so far has been MUCH busier than normal. Looks like WDW will break attendance records this week as MK and a couple of the water parks have had to close on 3 straight days due to capacity. Even hit phase 4 on Monday! So, I'd say (and i hate to say it since we, like it seems everyone else on Intercot picked the first week of May this year) it's going to be NUTS in May. They do have the last week of April at 5-7 out of 10, but there's 2 grad nights that week.

First week of May has always been a good week to go. The crowds are comparatively light. They might be predicting bigger crowds this year but I would say it will still be a good week with shorter than normal waits.:thumbsup:

I hope they add some shows and hours. 1 Spectromagic and 1 Fanstasmic for us and they are on the same night. :( :shake:

There seem to be a lot of people on the boards that are going the first week of May. I hope it isn't too crowded, but it appears it may be.

Well we went a few years ago and the crowds were so-so. But, let's be honest, when is Disney World ever not crowded?
